Reform UK’s 2024 manifesto, 'Our Contract with You,' is built around clear, practical policies to improve life for all. Key pledges include a freeze on non-essential immigration, with exceptions for healthcare workers, and measures to reduce strain on public services. We will ban students from bringing family members into the UK and impose a higher National Insurance rate for foreign workers. Additionally, we’re introducing tax relief on school fees to make education more affordable for families and ensure equal opportunities for every child.
Reform UK is also committed to a stronger NHS, pledging an extra $17 billion a year—far more than any of the other major parties. By 2028-29, the Conservative Party plans $1 billion extra, Labour $2 billion, and the Liberal Democrats $5.8 billion. Reform UK’s policies would ensure the NHS is better funded and ready to serve the public.
On transport, Reform UK would scrap the remainder of the HS2 rail link. After two previous cancellation announcements, the only section remaining is the one currently being built between London and the West Midlands. Reform UK believes these funds can be better spent elsewhere, focusing on practical infrastructure projects that benefit communities more directly.
Reform UK also believes in reclaiming British sovereignty and is committed to leaving the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). While the UK co-founded the ECHR and provides staff, critics argue the Strasbourg court interferes in key areas, such as the deportation of terrorism suspects and asylum seeker policies. Reform UK sees the ECHR as a barrier to UK autonomy and would prioritize national security and the interests of the British people.
Finally, Reform UK would scrap the TV license fee, calling out the BBC as out of touch, wasteful, and institutionally biased. The party would redirect funds into more relevant projects that benefit the public.
